Ajay Devgn fans recently received a major update on his upcoming films, Raid 2 and De De Pyaar De 2, are both making headlines. While fans were originally expecting to see De De Pyaar De sequel on May 1, 2025, the release schedule has shifted.
Surprisingly, Raid 2 was once again postponed from its February 2025 release date and will now arrive in May.
De De Pyaar De 2 Release Pushed By 4 Months
The comedy-drama has now been pushed to September, making way for Raid 2.
Earlier this year, the makers of De De Pyaar De 2 had announced its release for May 1, 2025, with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R Madhavan in key roles. However, with the latest update, the film’s release has been postponed to September, and Raid 2 will take the May 1 slot instead.
This change in the release calendar has stirred interest among fans. The exact release date for De De Pyaar De 2 remains uncertain, but fans can look forward to Devgn in a light-hearted role, just a little later than expected.
Raid 2 New Date Was Announced Last Night
On Tuesday, both Ajay Devgn and the Raid team made the announcement official with a post on Instagram. The poster confirmed that Raid 2, directed by Rajkumar Gupta, would now be released on May 1, 2025.
This is a shift from its initial date of February 25, 2025. The film, which follows the Income Tax Department, features Devgn alongside Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor, and Rajat Kapoor.
Devgn will reprise his role as Amay Patnaik, an Indian Revenue Service officer. The actor shared a new release date in his post and wrote, “IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Raid 2 is all set to release on 1st May 2025!”

About De De Pyaar De 2
comedy will continue the story from where the first film left off, focusing on the complications arising from the relationship between Ashish (Ajay Devgn) and Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh).
The film is directed by Anshul Sharma and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Ranjan, and Garg Ankur. The announcement post from Luv Ranjan Films shared the original May 1 date but now leaves fans wondering when they will get to see the sequel in September.
