Delhi is getting ready for a major Bollywood night as Cocktail 2 enters the final stretch of its campaign. With the Homi Adajania directorial scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on June 19, Maddock Films and Dinesh Vijan are preparing a grand premiere in the capital on June 18, bringing together the film’s star power, music team and industry energy just a day before release.
Cocktail 2 Heads To Delhi For A Grand Premiere
Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna will attend the Delhi premiere of Cocktail 2, along with director Homi Adajania and producer Dinesh Vijan. The event is being planned as one of the biggest film-led celebrations in the capital this year, with the makers looking to turn the evening into a high-profile showcase for the romantic entertainer.
The Delhi premiere also carries a familiar Maddock Films sentiment. Dinesh Vijan’s banner has previously mounted memorable premiere celebrations in the capital, including for Love Aaj Kal, and the team is now returning with another large-scale relationship drama designed for a wide theatrical audience. Given the film’s strong musical positioning, the premiere is also set to highlight the soundtrack as a major part of the celebration.
The timing gives the campaign an added push ahead of release. Over the past few weeks, Cocktail 2 has gained traction through its trailer and songs, both of which have helped build conversation around the film’s younger, relationship-driven world. The promotional mood is clearly being shaped around romance, friendship, music and the emotional complications that come with modern love.
What Cocktail 2 Brings To The Big Screen
Cocktail 2 is directed by Homi Adajania and written by Tarun Jain and Luv Ranjan. The film stars Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and is backed by Maddock Films and Luv Films, with Dinesh Vijan, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg serving as producers.
The film is positioned as a contemporary romantic drama built around a fresh set of characters navigating affection, attraction, friendship and emotional conflict. Its premise explores how modern relationships can shift between warmth, confusion, loyalty and heartbreak, while keeping music, humour and drama at the centre of the big-screen experience.
The project also brings Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon together again after Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, while marking Shahid’s first screen collaboration with Rashmika Mandanna. For Homi Adajania, Cocktail 2 brings him back to the world of urban romance associated with the 2012 film Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty.
With its premiere now lined up for a glittering evening in the capital, Cocktail 2 is closing its campaign on a celebratory note, one that places its cast, music and romance at the centre before it reaches theatres.
