Saif Ali Khan And Priyadarshan Team Up For A Thriller Film
In a recent chat with journalist Subhash K Jha, Saif confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I am doing a film with Priyadarshan next. I play a blind guy. Very exciting.” Although both Saif and Priyadarshan have been part of the Indian film industry for over 25 years, this is the first time they are working together. Their collaboration promises to be something new and exciting for both of them.
Priyadarshan, who is known for his comedy films, shared, “I’ve always liked Saif’s screen presence. I was waiting for something suitable to do with him.” However, this film won’t be a comedy as mentioned above. Instead, it will be a thriller, a genre Priyadarshan has not explored before. Saif will play the lead role in this gripping, high-stakes story.
It’s A Hindi Remake Of Mohanlal’s Oppam
The film is a remake of Priyadarshan’s Malayalam classic Oppam, which starred Mohanlal as a blind watchman who faces off against a serial killer. Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn were both considered for the role before, but Saif will finally step into the character. The film promises plenty of suspense and excitement, as Saif’s character navigates a dark and intense plot.
Before this thriller hits the screen, Saif’s fans can see him in Jewel Thief, a Netflix heist drama, alongside Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is set to release on April 25, 2025.
Saif’s career is also buzzing with more projects. He recently appeared in Devara: Part 1 with NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, and fans are already talking about a sequel. He is also set to star in Race 4, with reports suggesting that Sidharth Malhotra will join him in an important role.
