The makers of Dunki launched a promotional video “Dunki Diaries” today where Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and the director Rajkumar Hirani have a casual conversation about the film.
Hirani says that he was intrigued by the sight of many houses in Punjab that had a concrete airplane on their roofs. The video also features a gurudwara in Punjab where people visit with their passports to pray for smooth immigration overseas.
Shah Rukh Khan explains that the essence of the film is the bond of 5 friends in the movie. The three of them also narrate amusing stories and behind-the-scenes moments from the film.
Rajkumar Hirani unveils New song, Banda from Dunki
During the candid conversation, Shah Rukh Khan jokingly confesses that he had ‘one wish left’ as he missed the chance to be in the film ‘In and As’ like Aamir Khan’s PK or Sanjay Dutt’s Munna Bhai MBBS. In response to which Raju Hirani dubbing it similar to Lag Raho Munna Bhai’s Bande Mein Tha Dum, reveals that he has a song if not the film title and then launches a song ‘Banda’ that’s only about Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Dunki. Reacting to the song, the actor said, “thik hai sir meri life to ban gayi (Alright sir, my life is made) and humorously addressed the audience by saying, “Aap log dekh lo (you guys watch)”.
The song shows the journey of Hardy right from Punjab to him crossing the border illegally to his homecoming. The song’s lyrics are “Tum jo maang loge dil toh yo ye jaan dega Banda.”
The song ends on a patriotic dialogue where he says, “Mujhe mere desh mein koi khatra nahi hai. Mera desh jaisa hai, mera hai. Main yahan rehne ke liye apne desh ko gaali nahi dunga.”

Shah Rukh Khan shares Banda song on his social media
Shah Rukh later shared the song on his social media platforms with caption, “Tum jo maang loge dil toh yeh jaan dega banda….vaadon ka iraadon ka aur apne yaaron ka yaar. Aur ek aur yaar @diljitdosanjh paaji ne is gaane mein jaan bhar di hai. Thank u and love u paaji for making Hardy a banda for everyone to love.”

Shah Rukh Khan talks about Dunki during promotions in Dubai
Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, delighted his fans in Dubai with his energetic dance moves and charming personality during the promotions of his upcoming film Dunki. The superstar took the stage at the Global Village, a popular entertainment destination, on Sunday, December 17, and interacted with fans, he also danced to O Maahi, latest song from Dunki. He also visited Sky 2.0 club later where he grooved to his hit songs Chaiyya Chaiyya and Lutt Putt Gaya, the first song from Dunki.
Shah Ruk Khan also talked about Rajkumar Hirani‘s directorial,”I know that a lot of you people have left your homes and have made Dubai your second home. From India, Bangladesh, the rest of the subcontinent, so many of you are here from Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Now you all are far from home, but you have acquired a new home.
