Last week we broke the news that Shraddha Kapoor will be starting in a Maddock film which will be an interesting yet sweet love story. Varun Dhawan has been approached to be paired with Shraddha and he is keen to do the film though he is yet to sign on dotted lines.
Due to lot of messages regarding this exclusive news of ours, we are bringing you second part of Exclusive info about the film.
Film will be directed by ‘Maharani’ season 1 fame Karan Sharma who has been assistant director in many Subahsh Kapoor project before that. He has developed this concept with acclaimed writers which was instantly picked by Maddock.
Though earlier one set of actors were approached but things don’t work out due to dates and other modalities. Now Shraddha has lapped the project and Varun should come on board though formalities yet to be done.
Film has very poetic title ‘Shukriya’ which means ‘Thank you’. Film should go on floor by last quarter of the year and if all goes well, then announcement will come by May – June.

Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor have been childhood buddies and they have always expressed desire to work with each other. They appeared together in two films and both were set in background of dance competition. While ‘ABCD 2’ was a hit but ‘Street Dancer’ was failure doe to lacklustre direction.
Varun Dhawan delivered ‘Bhediya’ few months back which generated hype on social media and found it’s niche audience but it was from hit status at box office. Varun is shooting for massive web project Raj & DK’s ‘Citadel’ along with Samantha.
On the other hand, Shraddha is gearing up for probably her biggest release of career opposite Ranbir Kapoor. ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ will release this Holi in 15 days time from now. Film seems like a sure shot hit.
