Aamir Khan left his fans excited with the announcement of his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par, a social dramedy directed by RS Prasanna. Since the project’s confirmation, Aamir has shared various details in interviews, increasing anticipation among fans.
Recently, Aamir was seen in Delhi shooting scenes for Sitaare Zameen Par. A fan video of him on the streets of Delhi went viral on social media on May 19, showing him in a green T-shirt and grey pants.
In another video, Aamir was spotted walking with cricketer Shikhar Dhawan, further fuelling fan excitement.

These sightings sparked curiosity about whether he is still filming in Delhi, given reports that production might move to smaller cities like Bhopal and Lucknow due to rising costs in the capital.

Sitaare Zameen Par to Highlight Down Syndrome
According to a Hindustan Times report, Sitaare Zameen Par will address Down Syndrome, aiming to shed light on this often-stigmatised condition.
A source close to the project revealed, “Just like Taare Zameen Par, Aamir Khan wanted to bring focus on another condition that gets stigmatised in our society through Sitaare Zameen Par. That’s when he found a heartfelt story that sheds light on Down Syndrome and what people dealing with that go through. He wants to handle the subject very sensitively and create an impact that makes people suffering from the syndrome be treated as equals.”
The source added that other details about the film remain under wraps, including whether Aamir will direct or produce the movie.
Aamir Khan Is Eyeing Christmas Release For Sitaare Zameen Par
Earlier this year, after the Laapataa Ladies screening in February, Aamir spoke to the media about Sitaare Zameen Par.
In an interview with The Indian Express, he revealed, “I began shooting for my next film last week. We aim for a Christmas release this year. Let’s hope it comes by Christmas.” This announcement confirmed that Sitaare Zameen Par is on track for a timely release.
Genelia D’Souza (Deshmukh) stars alongside Aamir in the film, and earlier photos of the two on set had surfaced online. The shooting schedule for Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to be extensive, spanning 70 to 80 working days. This makes it one of Aamir’s fastest film productions, thanks to meticulous pre-production planning.
