‘Join The Revolution’: Kesari Chapter 2 Makers Share Update As Advance Bookings For Akshay Kumar Starrer Open Ahead Of April 18 Release

Kesari Chapter 2 arrives in cinemas on April 18 with Akshay Kumar leading a powerful courtroom drama based on true events.

There are just two days left for the release of Kesari Chapter 2, and the excitement is visible. This Akshay Kumar starrer courtroom drama hits cinemas on April 18. Fans rushed in as soon as the makers opened advance bookings.

Akshay Kumar plays lawyer C Sankaran Nair in this historical drama. R Madhavan and Ananya Panday also play key roles. Director Karan Singh Tyagi takes the franchise forward after the 2019 film Kesari. This time, the plot focuses on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and the legal fight that followed. The film is based on the book The Case That Shook the Empire.

Kesari Chapter 2 Makers Drop Advance Booking Update

For a better reach, Dharma Productions shared an update on pre-sales and wrote, “Join the revolution. Witness the courtroom that shook an Empire. ADVANCE BOOKINGS NOW OPEN.” Fans didn’t wait and started booking tickets for the film.

The makers also arranged early screenings in cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, and Kolkata. All shows sold out quickly. That shows just how strong the buzz is. By 10 a.m. yesterday, the film had already sold over 3,000 tickets for opening day. The collections stood at around Rs 9 lakh gross. That’s impressive for a courtroom drama with an ‘A’ certificate. The average ticket price is under Rs 250.

Among cities, the NCR region leads in bookings, followed closely by Mumbai. Delhi and Maharashtra are doing well in state-wise sales. While it’s too early to predict final numbers, the current momentum looks solid. Industry experts say a Rs 4-5 crore advance booking figure for day one would be a great start.

About The Film

Unlike the first Kesari, which was action-heavy, this sequel takes a different route. It brings out the emotional weight of the courtroom battle. The story digs into the wounds left by British brutality.

The film revisits April 13, 1919, the day of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Thousands of people had gathered to protest the Rowlatt Act. General Dyer then ordered his troops to fire on the peaceful crowd. British reports claimed 291 deaths, but Indian sources said over 500 people lost their lives.

Kesari Chapter 2 aims to bring this dark chapter back into public memory. Akshay Kumar’s powerful role, along with a strong supporting cast, makes it one of this year’s most anticipated releases.
