Kangana RanauKangana Ranaut has fiercely criticised the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony, labelling its rendition of The Last Supper as "blasphemous" and "hyper-sexualised."

Actress-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut is known for her bold statements. She has now launched a scathing critique of the Paris Olympics 2024 opening ceremony.

The ceremony has come under fire for its portrayal of a reimagined version of The Last Supper, which Ranaut has labelled as “blasphemous” and “hyper-sexualised.”

Kangana Ranaut Called It ‘Disrespectful Treatment’ Of Christianity

On Saturday, Kangana took to Instagram Stories to voice her disapproval. She shared several photos and videos from the event, expressing her concerns about the inclusion of a child in the controversial performance. Ranaut was particularly upset by the depiction of religious figures and what she perceived as a disrespectful treatment of Christianity.

In her post, Ranaut highlighted a video from the ceremony showing what she described as a child participating alongside drag queens. “The Paris Olympics is under fire for including a child in their hyper-s*xualised, blasphemous rendition of The Last Supper,” she wrote.

The video also featured a man painted blue in a controversial portrayal of Jesus, which Kangana found deeply offensive.

She further criticised the event by sharing a photo of the blue-painted man, captioning it, “Naked body painted Christ at the Olympics opening in Paris (facepalming emoji).” Ranaut questioned the message behind such acts, asking, “This is how France welcomed the world for the 2024 Olympics? And what is the message of such acts? Welcome to the world of Satan?? Is this what they want to show??”

Ranaut’s posts continued with a collage of the performances, where she voiced her frustration over the focus on sexuality. “At Olympics opening everything was about being homosexual. I am not against homosexuality, but this is beyond me how Olympics is related to any sexuality? Why are games, sports, and the participation of all nations being overshadowed by sexuality? Why can’t sex stay in our bedrooms? Why does it have to be a national identity? This is bizarre!”
