Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, opted to give people a taste of her acting talents in a commercial before making her big Bollywood debut. On Tuesday morning, filmmaker Karan Johar released the ad with Shanaya on his Instagram account.

“Oh my god, @shanayakapoor02! Your hair looks gorgeous. But are you sure you have seen a bowl of spaghetti before? Thank you for this gem @the_misfit_way!” read Karan’s caption of the video post.
The commercial for a hair straightener has a comedic element to it, with Shanaya devouring handfuls of spaghetti right from the bowl.
Shanaya responded to KJo’s post with a love and laughing emoji while followers threw heart emojis to her. However, not everyone in the comment area was complimentary. Several people said that instead of perpetuating nepotism, producers should choose more gifted artists who are suffering.
One of them, interestingly, made a comparison between Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, who are real-life friends. “Why is she so Ananya?” read the comment.

Shanaya has yet to make an official announcement about her Bollywood debut, however she is represented by Karan Johar’s talent agency, Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA)
