Now, all eyes are on Prabhas’ upcoming project, tentatively called Fauji. Latest reports suggest that Pakistani actress Sajal Aly might join this new film’s impressive lineup.
Mrunal Thakur REPLACED By Salal Aly In Prabhas’ Fauji
Prabhas will team up with director Hanu Raghavapudi for Fauji. While the male lead is confirmed, there has been speculation about who will play the female lead.
Initially, Mrunal Thakur was rumoured to be cast, but recent reports indicate that Sajal Aly might step into the role. However, there has been no official confirmation as yet.
The film is set in the pre-Independence era of India and is described as a period-action drama with a distinctive love story. Some reports suggest that Prabhas could play a British soldier, which would explain the interest in casting a pan-Asian actress like Sajal Aly.
Shooting Of This Pan-India Project Expected To Begin In September
Filming for Fauji is expected to begin in September 2024. The project has a substantial budget, and pre-production work is already underway. This includes constructing elaborate sets around Hyderabad and working on the musical score with Vishal Chandrashekhar. Three songs have already been recorded, adding to the film’s anticipation.
