Jawan director Atlee is reportedly in discussions with two of Indian cinema’s biggest superstars, Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan, for an upcoming high-budget action thriller.
This film, which Sun Pictures will produce, promises to be a two-hero extravaganza with a top Tamil actor sharing the screen with Salman Khan, aiming for a pan-India appeal.
Interestingly, a few weeks ago, there were reports that Atlee had pitched the idea to Rajinikanth. Now that he’s in talks with Kamal Haasan, it seems the discussions with Rajinikanth didn’t work out.
Salman Khan & Kamal Haasan To Hear The Script This Month
Insiders reveal that Atlee has been in talks with Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan for several months. Conversations have progressed well, and both stars have shown a keen interest in the project. The movie envisioned as a dual-hero narrative, requires the collaboration of these seasoned actors.
An industry source stated, “It’s a pure two-hero feature film that deserves two genuine superstars. Kamal Haasan and Salman Khan have both shown enthusiasm for Atlee’s project and are looking forward to working together. It’s a yes from both sides, but the paperwork will be completed once they hear the full narrative later this month.”
Atlee Plans To Release This Biggest Action Film By Early 2025
While the official confirmation is pending, the excitement around this project is high. Atlee, known for his high-octane films, aims to deliver a visual treat that will set a new benchmark in Indian cinema.
According to sources, “After Jawan, Atlee has been striving to make the biggest action spectacle in Indian cinema, and he has already begun to take steps in this direction by speaking with two of the biggest megastars in Indian cinema. He intends to release the picture early next year. Atlee is confident about finalising this ideal cast and hopes to acquire both actors’ commitments within the next month.”
Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan’s collaboration would mark a significant milestone in Indian cinema, bringing together the best of Bollywood and Kollywood.
As per the reports, the final agreement will be reached after Atlee presents the complete screenplay to both stars later this month. If all goes well, this will be their first collaboration, promising a grand cinematic experience for fans across the country.

Salman Khan & Kamal Haasan’s Busy Schedule
Salman Khan is expected to work on Atlee’s film after completing his current project, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss. Kamal Haasan, on the other hand, will finish his commitments with Thug Life and Indian 3 before joining Atlee’s venture.
