The recent attack on Saif Ali Khan has left fans and the entertainment industry stunned. On January 16, an intruder broke into Saif’s Mumbai home, attacking him with a knife and leaving him with six stab wounds. The attack, which appeared to be an attempted robbery, shocked everyone, including his fans and colleagues.
After the attack, veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha took to social media to show his support for Saif. He shared an AI-generated image of Saif lying in a hospital bed, with his wife Kareena Kapoor Khan sitting beside him. The picture showed both of them smiling, which seemed out of place given the seriousness of the incident.

In his post, Shatrughan Sinha expressed his sadness over the attack and wished Saif a speedy recovery. He wrote about how tragic it was for Saif to be injured, and he was thankful that Saif was recovering well. He also sent his best wishes to Kareena and the family.
Shatrughan went on to appeal to people to stop playing the blame game. He urged everyone to trust the police and praised the actions of the Maharashtra Chief Minister and Home Minister for their support and swift response. He emphasised that the matter would be resolved soon, encouraging everyone to avoid complicating things further.
Shatrughan also thanked the Deputy CMs of Maharashtra for their kind words and efforts. He reminded everyone that Saif was a highly respected actor, a Padmashri awardee, and a National Award winner. He reassured the public that the law would take its course and hoped for Saif’s quick recovery.

However, Shatrughan’s post drew more attention for its AI-generated image than his message of support. Netizens quickly noticed the photo and made fun of it.

Main Accused In Saif Ali Khan Attack Case Arrested
Talking about the incident, Mumbai Police arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, the man responsible for the attack. Shahzad, a 30-year-old man who entered India illegally, was caught in Thane.
Authorities suspect he may be originally from Bangladesh. Shahzad had been working under a false name and is believed to have intended to rob Saif when the attack took place. He was arrested near the Hiranandani Estate, about 35 km from Saif’s home.
Dikshit Gedam, the DCP of the Mumbai Crime Branch, confirmed that Shahzad had been in Mumbai for around five to six months and had been using the name Vijay Das. He will be presented in court for further proceedings.
