Sajid Nadiadwala is making waves with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The well-known producer is partnering with Banijay Asia to branch out into new areas. Together, they will create films, web series, and TV shows.
In March 2024, it was revealed that Nadiadwala is building a cutting-edge VFX studio. Now, with this new partnership, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment is stepping into the TV and digital arenas for the first time.
Sajid Nadiadwala & Banijay Asia Partner For Rs 100 Cr Multi-Project Deal
According to The Economic Times, the two companies will invest a whopping Rs. 100 crore into this venture.
Sajid Nadiadwala shared his excitement, stating, “We thought it was time that we both came together to unlock a fresh perspective on storytelling. We will be delivering content across genres, across screens and across boundaries.”
Banijay Asia’s CEO, Deepak Dhar, agreed and said, “Our focus will be on creating compelling content for multiple screens. It’ll be a combination of bringing some of the biggest international adaptations to India, combined with a robust slate of original IPs.”
Dhar also mentioned that the format of the content, whether film or OTT, will depend on the subject matter.
Banijay Asia is known for shows like Bigg Boss, Temptation Island, The Trial, The Night Manager, and Call My Agent: Bollywood. These have mostly been adaptations of popular international formats. With this new partnership, expect to see both remakes of Western hits and fresh, original content.
