Re-shoot of ‘Salaar’ climax in Hyderabad
According to sources close to the development, Prashanth Neel was not satisfied with the outcome of some of the high-octane action sequences in the film’s climax and wanted to improve them for a better cinematic experience. He got the support from his producers, Hombale Films, who agreed to increase the budget and delay the film for the sake of quality.
According to sources close to the development, Prashanth Neel and makers have silently reunited to reshoot some portions of Salaar, which includes high points of the film’s climax. “The idea is to better the product for the biggest cinematic experience. Prashanth Neel wants to outdo his previous work and when he watched the film in one go recently, he felt there was still a lot of scope of improvement. Prashanth is a taskmaster. He got support from his producers, who took the risk of delaying the film and increasing the budget to creatively satisfy the director,” revealed a very close source to another publication.
The reshoot aspect has been taken positively by all the stakeholders. “Given the money at which film is bought across the market, it’s always good to come up with a polished and complete product. When there is scope for improvement, it’s always nice to improve. The idea of this short reshoot is to enhance the cinematic experience for the viewers,” the source further told us.
The sources also revealed that the film is facing some issues with the VFX output, as around 600 VFX shots are yet to be delivered by the team. The delay in VFX work is also one of the reasons for the postponement of Salaar, in addition to some reshoots in Climax.
An eight-day schedule without Prabhas has recently commenced in Hyderabad. This revelation was unexpected, as the makers had previously indicated that the shooting had concluded, causing disappointment among fans. Most of the scenes being shot in the schedule are not related to the lead actor, and this development implies that the film’s release will experience further delays.
