Salman Khan is gearing up for the release of Sikandar, which is set to hit cinemas this Eid. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film promises high-octane action and marks another festive release for the superstar.
Ahead of its premiere, Salman met the media in Mumbai and addressed rumours about his upcoming projects, including his much-anticipated collaboration with director Atlee.
Salman Khan Speaks On His Delayed Atlee Film, Reveals Teaming Up With Sanjay Dutt
For months, reports suggested that Salman would team up with Jawan director Atlee.
However, during his recent media interaction, the actor confirmed that the project has been delayed due to budget constraints. Salman revealed, “He has written a very big budget action film. The film with Atlee is delayed; the budget is an issue for the film. I don’t know who among the two (Rajinikanth sir or Kamal Haasan sir) will be in it.”
Salman also dropped an exciting update about his next project, which promises intense action. He said, “I’m doing another big action film after Sikandar. There, the action is on another level. That’s rustic action.”
When asked for more details, he made a major revelation: “I’m doing it with my elder brother in the industry… Sanjay Dutt.” While the director and producer are yet to be finalised, fans are already excited about the duo reuniting on screen.
No Tiger Vs Pathaan For Now, But Andaz Apna Apna Sequel In Talks
One of the biggest speculations in Bollywood has been about Tiger vs Pathaan, a crossover between Salman and Shah Rukh Khan’s spy characters. Salman cleared the air and said, “Tiger vs Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan is not happening as of now.”
However, he did confirm that discussions are happening for a sequel to the cult classic Andaz Apna Apna. “Both Aamir Khan and I are excited, and I am sure Rajkumar Santoshi will do a wonderful job with it,” he added.
The Tiger 3 star also admitted that he is currently torn between two potential projects. Meanwhile, he confirmed that he is working on a film with Sooraj Barjatya.
Salman Khan Gears Up For Sikandar
Lastly, Salman urged fans to support Sikandar in theatres, along with the other major releases arriving this Eid. The superstar said, “I am hoping people working get good bonuses on Eid so that they can watch Sikandar, Mohanlal sir’s L2: Empuraan, and also Sunny Deol’s new film (Jaat). Three big stars are coming with big films, and I hope all work.”
Sikandar features Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, and Sharman Joshi in key roles. The film is set to release worldwide on March 30 during Eid.
