Salman Khan’s upcoming film Sikandar has faced some challenges, but the actor isn’t letting anything slow him down. Following the murder of politician Baba Siddique, security concerns have increased around Khan.
Despite this, he remains determined to keep the shoot moving forward. As investigations into Siddique’s murder continue, Khan’s team is taking extra steps to ensure his safety while filming.
Sikandar Shoot RESCHEDULED After Baba Siddique’s Death
As per a mid-day report, the team of Sikandar initially planned to shoot the next schedule in Hyderabad. However, they have now decided to film in Mumbai instead.
New locations within the city are being chosen, and to avoid any security issues, only a select few people will know the exact details. The production team has already arranged for a week of intense shooting in Mumbai.
Actress Rashmika Mandanna, known for her role in Pushpa, is set to join Khan for this shoot. She will complete her scenes with him before heading down south to work on Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Salman Khan’s Security Doubled After The Incident
Security around Khan has been a top priority, especially after an incident involving gunfire outside his Bandra residence earlier this year. His security team, which was previously increased to include 10 to 15 members, will now be doubled due to recent threats.
There will also be stricter controls on set, with thorough checks on everyone entering and additional measures to secure the filming locations. The team is working hard to ensure there are no delays in production.
Siddique’s Murder Is Believed To Be A Threat For Sikandar Actor
Khan and Baba Siddique were close friends, with their relationship going back many years. In fact, Siddique played a key role in helping Salman reconcile with Shah Rukh Khan at his 2013 Iftar party.
Siddique’s murder on October 12 is currently being investigated by the Mumbai Crime Branch. Authorities believe his association with Khan might be a motive for the crime, and there are suspicions that the attack was a warning from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously made threats against Khan.
With filming set to resume soon and heightened security measures in place, Salman Khan continues to push forward with Sikandar while staying cautious about the ongoing threats.
