Varun Dhawan’s niece, Anjini Dhawan, is making headlines as she embarks on her acting journey. She recently made her film debut in Binny and Family, where she took on the lead role.

The film hit theatres on September 27, 2024, alongside a talented cast, including Rajesh Kumar and Pankaj Kapur. However, Binny and Family struggled at the box office, failing to impress audiences.

Just days after her first film’s release, Anjini has reportedly landed her second project. According to a report from Mid-Day, she is set to star in Salman Khan’s upcoming film, Sikandar

Anjini Dhawan Joins The Cast Of Sikandar

Anjini Dhawan is said to have joined the star-studded cast of Sikandar, which features notable actors like Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, and Sathyaraj. The film began shooting in June 2024 and will showcase Anjini in a crucial role.

A source close to the production shared, “She has been cast in a key role. The character needed a fresh face, and Anjini fit the bill. She will join the shoot soon.”

Details about her character are being kept under wraps. The source added, “It is not known yet what Anjini’s character’s relationship will be with Salman’s protagonist.” The secrecy surrounding her role highlights its importance to the film’s plot.

Currently, what is known is that Salman Khan will portray a compassionate businessman who carries emotional scars from his past. Sikandar is being designed as an action-packed entertainer, directed by AR Murugadoss. The film is scheduled for release during Eid 2025, promising to be a significant addition to the festive line-up.

Anjini Dhawan Reflects On Varun Dhawan’s Influence On Her Career

In an interview with OTTplay, Anjini shared her thoughts on whether Varun had a hand in shaping her career or character.

“No! Not at all. Not with my character. He definitely helped me a lot when it comes to giving me advice and guiding me. Like if I have questions like ‘this or that’, that advice is definitely always there but the character ‘no’,” she said.
