Salman Khan starrer Sikandar is set for a grand Eid 2025 release, and expectations are sky-high. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film promises intense action and a gripping storyline. The big question is whether it can surpass Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which performed well despite the competition.
Judging from the reactions to the recent teaser, it seems hard for the film to break records. However, waiting for the trailer would be better to comment further.
Sikandar Teaser Creates Buzz
The teaser which was released on February 27, sparked excitement on social media. It features Salman Khan in a power-packed role, alongside Rashmika Mandanna and Sathyaraj.
Fans were eager to see him in a larger-than-life entertainer, but reactions have been mixed. While many praise its scale and action, some critics question its originality.
Will Sikandar Perform Better?
Salman’s recent films have seen mixed results. Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023) earned Rs 110.53 crore but failed to impress. Tiger 3 (2023) fared better with Rs 285.52 crore but didn’t meet high expectations. Other releases like Antim (2021) and Radhe (2021) also struggled. Despite this, his Eid releases always attract massive crowds.
Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 became a big hit even with Singham Again as competition. Its horror-comedy appeal and Kartik’s rising stardom helped it pull strong numbers. For Sikandar to surpass it, the film will need more than just action—it must deliver an engaging story.
Unlike Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, Sikandar has no box office clash, giving it an edge. But in the end, strong word-of-mouth and audience reception will decide its fate.
