As we know, actor Ranveer Singh and South Indian director Prasanth Varma have decided to part ways on their much-anticipated project, Rakshas.
Initially set to be a grand venture backed by Mythri Production, the collaboration hit a snag due to creative differences.
After days of speculation, Singh, Varma, and Mythri Movie Makers jointly issued an official statement today, May 30, confirming the termination of their partnership on Rakshas. However, they expressed optimism about potential future collaborations.
Ranveer Singh And Prasanth Varma Amicably Part Ways
The duo has issued an official statement in response to the split. Ranveer Singh praised Varma’s talent, stating, “Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future.”
Varma also acknowledged Singh’s rare energy and talent, hinting at the possibility of teaming up in the future.
Insiders privy to the situation disclosed that although efforts were made to salvage the project, both parties ultimately decided to move on, with Varma now gearing up to revamp the casting process for Rakshas. The director aims to bring the film to fruition before embarking on his next venture, Jai HanuMan.
Ranveer Singh’s Work Front
Meanwhile, sources close to Singh revealed that the actor, amidst his busy schedule, is preparing to embrace fatherhood in 2024.
Prioritising family over work commitments, Singh is selectively considering scripts while focusing on spending quality time with his loved ones.
Ranveer Singh’s upcoming projects include Don 3, Shaktimaan, and an untitled film by Aditya Dhar, currently in the writing stage.
