Rohit Shetty is known for presenting some of the amazing action sequences on screen throw his films. The filmmakers have created his world of cops with Singham, Simmba and his upcoming film Sooryavanshi.
Well, talking about the films that have been made in the industry the filmmaker says commercial films are dying as many people are scared to delve into that space.
Talking to a daily Rohit talked about how he created his own “cop universe” he said,
“It just happened. You have to take a risk and create something new. Commercial films are dying. There are very few filmmakers who are making commercial films. Many people are scared to make commercial films… We need to bring something new every time when you make a commercial film”.
Adding to this he revealed that, he created Simmba to bring Singham and Sooryavanshi together and start of his universe. He also said that it was scary for him since Singham is a brand and if anything goes wrong the brand will suffer. He said they took the risk anyway, he also said that the audience created the universe.
The film stars Akshay Kumar as ATS officer Veer Sooryavanshi. Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh will also reprise their roles of Singham and Simmba to help Akshay in his mission.
Katrina Kaif will be seen as Veer Sooryavanshi’s wife while Jackie Shroff plays the antagonist.
Sooryavanshi is scheduled to hit the theatres on March 24.
