Sunny Deol Returns To Lahore 1947 Set As Aamir Khan Demands Additions, Will Head To Kashmir For Border 2 Shoot Next

Sunny Deol returns to Lahore 1947 set to shoot some additional scenes and a song. Filming will go on for next 10-15 days.

Sunny Deol is back on the set of Rajkumar Santoshi-directed Lahore 1947 following Aamir Khan’s suggestions for some additional scenes. The period drama, which also stars Preity Zinta, wrapped up filming, but Khan felt a few sequences could be enhanced for a more dramatic impact.

Sunny Deol To Shoot For Additional Scenes & A Song For 10-15 Days

According to a Mid-day report, Aamir Khan had reviewed the first cut of Lahore 1947 and recommended a few changes. He and Santoshi agreed on adding extra shots to boost the film’s visual intensity.

Deol, who has just finished filming Jaat, has agreed to reschedule his time to complete the patchwork, which will include the addition of a song. The shoot is set to begin in the second week of December, with a set already built at Mehboob Studios. The team plans for a 10-15 day shoot, which will include both the song and dramatic scene enhancements.

After wrapping up the patch shoot, Deol will head to Kashmir to start filming Border 2.

Lahore 1947 has been inspired by the Punjabi play Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamyai Nai. It tells the gripping story of a Muslim family that moves to Lahore, where they inherit a haveli left behind by a Hindu family. Tensions arise when they discover an elderly Hindu woman still living in the house, refusing to leave and asserting her rights.
