The much-awaited film Superboys of Malegaon has released its first song, “Bande” and it’s a powerful musical piece. The track blends passion, perseverance, and dreams, capturing the film’s inspiring journey.

Composed by the talented duo Sachin-Jigar, “Bande” offers a rich soundscape with a mix of soothing harmonies and energetic beats. The song features vocals by Divya Kumar, Sayee Gangan, and Sachin-Jigar, with lyrics written by the legendary Javed Akhtar.
The lyrics bring raw emotion and determination to the song. At its heart, “Bande” reflects the story of Nasir Shaikh, an amateur filmmaker from Malegaon who dreams of making a film for his people despite challenges.
This song is also a special moment for Tiger Baby Records, the music label founded by Zoya Akhtar, Reema Kagti, and Ankur Tewari. As their first venture into film music, “Bande” showcases their dedication to impactful storytelling through music. The track’s intensity and uplifting message fit perfectly with the film’s theme of resilience and hope.

Directed by Reema Kagti and written by Varun Grover, Superboys of Malegaon is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, and Reema Kagti under Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby. The film stars Adarsh Gourav, Vineet Kumar Singh, Shashank Arora, and Anuj Singh Duhan.
The film has already gained recognition at major international festivals, including TIFF, BFI London Film Festival, Palm Springs International Film Festival, and Red Sea International Film Festival. With its emotional storytelling, it has been praised for honouring the power of cinema and the relentless pursuit of dreams.
