Thalapathy Vijay’s final film Thalapathy 69 is set for a grand reveal soon. Fans can look forward to the film’s first look and title poster, which will be released on January 26 (Republic Day).
Directed by H Vinoth, the film features a stellar cast. Pooja Hegde plays the female lead, while Bobby Deol takes on the antagonist’s role. The cast also includes Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Priyamani, and Teejay Arunachalam. Music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with KVN Productions producing the film.

Reports hint that Thalapathy 69 holds a deeper significance for Vijay. The title is believed to represent the beginning of his political journey, marking a shift from his acting career to public service.
It is speculated that the film might be titled Naalaiya Theerpu (Tomorrow’s Verdict), inspired by Vijay’s debut movie directed by his father, S. A. Chandrasekhar. This symbolic title reportedly reflects his upcoming political plans.
Makers Expected To Conclude The Shoot By March 2025
Filming began in October 2024 and is expected to finish by March 2025. A large military set was built for key scenes, and it will also feature in the first-look poster shoot. The film is set to release in October 2025, creating a buzz among fans.
Earlier this year, Vijay announced that Thalapathy 69 would be his last film before stepping away from cinema. During a Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) event, Vijay said, “I’ve left fame and money behind. I’m ready to be a normal person and stand by my people.” His decision to quit acting has left fans emotional, though many are excited about his new political journey.
Vijay launched his political party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, in February 2024. Since then, he has been actively involved in grassroots activities and is preparing to contest in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Additionally, Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar also confirmed his role in Thalapathy 69.
