The anticipation for The Buckingham Murders is at an all-time high with the release of its new teaser. Directed by Hansal Mehta, this suspense thriller features Kareena Kapoor in a compelling role that promises to keep you captivated.
The Buckingham Murders Teaser OUT
In the teaser, Kareena plays a detective and grieving mother who, after the loss of her own child, dives into the investigation of a 10-year-old’s murder in Buckinghamshire. Her character is on a relentless quest to solve the case, battling her own emotions while navigating a town where nearly everyone seems suspicious.
Kareena shared the teaser on her Instagram and wrote, “13th September in theatres ❤️”
The film, written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, is produced by Balaji Telefilms and TBM Films in collaboration with Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa Kapoor, and Kareena herself. This project marks Kareena’s debut as a producer.
In a 2023 interview with Variety, Kareena shared that her character draws inspiration from Kate Winslet’s role in Mare of Easttown. “I love Mare of Easttown, and when Hansal came to me, I said this is something that I’ve really been dying to do. So we’ve moulded a little bit on those lines,” she explained.
The Buckingham Murders is set to hit cinemas on September 13, 2024. The film also features Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen in pivotal roles.
Kareena Kapoor’s Work Front
Aside from this, Kareena will be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again. The film is the third instalment of the hit franchise and stars Ajay Devgn, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh. The first two films, Singham (2011) and Singham Returns (2014), were major successes.
With The Buckingham Murders generating such buzz, and Kareena’s dual role as lead actress and producer, fans have much to look forward to this September.
