After achieving tremendous success with Amaran, Tamil filmmaker Rajkumar Periasamy is now setting out to make a big entry into Bollywood, and if everything goes according to plan, his Hindi film will likely feature one of the two major stars: either Vicky Kaushal or Kartik Aaryan. The film, which is produced by Bhushan Kumar, is gearing up to be a high-concept action thriller — this project is already stirring up considerable curiosity within the industry.
Rajkumar Periasamy’s Bollywood Debut Locked For 2026
He has previously made waves with the critically acclaimed Amaran (2023), starring Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi, and is now ready to build his own foundation in the Hindi film industry. His next feature will apparently be a content-driven action thriller and is being produced by Bhushan Kumar of T-Series. Sources suggest that Rajkumar plans to start filming in the first quarter of 2026, and the preparation work is likely to begin late in 2025.
He is currently winding down his new Tamil film with Dhanush starring in the lead and will only move to his Hindi film project once that is completed.
A source close to the project explained:
“Rajkumar Periasamy’s next is a high-concept actioner in a space never seen before. The story is emotionally charged, and it is looking for a lead actor that is young and has a strong screen presence.”
“Both Vicky Kaushal and Kartik Aaryan have listened to the script and said yes.”
Formal confirmations are being awaited, but internal word is both actors have responded to its treatment positively. The next step is finding a date, as both actors have busy shooting schedules. One of them is expected to sign within 2 weeks.
