Jitendra also discussed the comparisons in an interview with a popular media outlet, saying, “I think when we were brainstorming for season 1, there was a doubt about some similarities. He also reluctantly comes to the village, planning to stay for a few days and then leave. So, it felt like people might notice. But we used it while taking inspiration from it.”
He continued, “In season 1, his friend says something, so we incorporated those elements. But he never came across as a wall. We used it effectively. So, I never thought that it was similar. I love both Swades and our show, so I was really excited.”
