After completing his current film RRR, SS Rajamouli will direct Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu, according to reports. Filming is scheduled to begin in January 2022. There is, however, a catch. Rajamouli will begin the untitled film with Mahesh Babu when his extravagant magnum opus RRR is released. The dates of Mahesh Babu for the project are now in peril.

“Raja Sir (Rajamouli) is adamant not to undertake any projects till rrr is out of the way,” a person close to the situation said. “Rajamouli Sir can’t focus on any project until unless rrr is released in theatres.”
The question is when will RRR be released in theatres. Mahash Babu appears to have no choice but to wait for the COVID issue to be resolved. He won’t be able to commit to any other projects till Rajamouli releases more details about his future feature. To put it another way, the situation has come to a standstill.
Mahash Babu, on the other hand, has another film in the works with Trivikaram. He is also gearing up for his next film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata.
