Aamir Khan is known for his impactful roles in Indian cinema. He is gearing up for a new chapter in his career. The actor, who has delivered socially significant films like Dangal, 3 Idiots, and Lagaan, is not only expanding his lineups as an actor but also transforming his production house into a fully-fledged studio.
As we know, Aamir Khan has roped in industry veteran Aparna Purohit, formerly of Amazon Prime Video, to lead this ambitious venture. Under her guidance, Aamir Khan Productions is bustling with activity. The studio has a promising lineup, including Pritam Pyaare starring Aamir’s son Junaid, Rajkumar Santoshi’s historical drama Lahore 1947, Vir Das’ comedy Happy Patel, and RS Prasanna’s Sitaare Zameen Par, all at various stages of post-production.
Aamir Khan In Rajkumar Santoshi’s Slice-Of-Life Drama
According to a report by Mid-day, Aamir Khan’s return to acting is also happening soon. A source close to the actor revealed that he’s considering a new project, a slice-of-life comedy helmed by Rajkumar Santoshi. The film is expected to be a blend of humour and social commentary.
However, before committing to this project, Aamir is focused on wrapping up Sitaare Zameen Par, an adaptation of the Spanish film Campeones.
Karisma Kapoor Calls Him ‘Perfectionist’
Aamir, often dubbed as a “perfectionist,” is known for his meticulous approach to filmmaking. He is likely to maintain his usual pace, releasing one film every 18 months. In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Karisma Kapoor, who has worked with all three Khans, praised Aamir’s dedication. She said, “Working with Aamir (and Salman, SRK) taught me a lot. He is a perfectionist, and I have always been keen to observe and learn from my colleagues.”

Amidst a brief hiatus from acting, Aamir has announced his upcoming film, Sitaare Zameen Par. The title draws a parallel with his previous film, Taare Zameen Par. However, Aamir clarified that while Taare Zameen Par was an emotional drama, Sitaare Zameen Par will offer a lighter, more entertaining experience.
He said, “I have not spoken about it publicly and I won’t be able to say much now also. But I can tell the title. The title of the film is Sitaare Zameen Par. You must have remembered my film Taare Zameen Par, and the name of this film is Sitaare Zameen Par because we are moving 10 steps ahead with the same theme. Taare Zameen Par was an emotional film; this film will make you laugh. That film made you cry; this one will entertain you.”
