Vicky Kaushal is truly on a winning streak. After delivering successful hits like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Sam Bahadur, he’s not slowing down. Up next for him is Chhaava, a film by Laxman Utekar, which is set to release in early 2025. The buzz around this film is strong as it delves into the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, and many believe it could be a game-changer for Vicky.
But that’s just the beginning. Vicky is gearing up to start shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, where he will share the screen with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Filming is set to kick off in mid-November, with Vicky committing a full year to this ambitious project.
However, even before Love & War wraps up, Vicky has already lined up another major project.
Vicky Kaushal In Dinesh Vijan’s Next Big Feature Film
According to a source quoted by a Pinkvilla report, he’s set to collaborate with Dinesh Vijan on a massive feature film rooted in Indian mythology. This yet-untitled epic venture is expected to showcase Vicky in a prominent mythological role.
Another Bollywood Hungama report claims that Vicky will be playing Lord Parshuram in this film.
Insiders have hinted that this project will be a massive step up, following their earlier collaboration on Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and with the hype surrounding Chhaava.
This latest project will be much bigger than Maddock and Vicky’s latest collaboration Chhaava. Makers are expected to make an official announcement anytime soon.
Pre-Production To Begin In Early 2025
The upcoming mythological film will require a significant amount of preparation. Sources revealed that pre-production will begin in early 2025, with around six to eight months dedicated to research, set designs, and character work. The project is described as the most ambitious yet for both Vicky and Maddock Films. It’s expected to require detailed planning to capture the scale and authenticity needed.
The collaboration between Vicky Kaushal and Dinesh Vijan seems to be built on mutual respect and trust. Vijan was reportedly blown away by Vicky’s performance in Chhaava, which further established their partnership for this new epic. Dinesh believes that Vicky’s portrayal in Chhaava will set a new standard, and this upcoming film will only build on that momentum.
With Chhaava set to release in early 2025, followed by Love And War, and now this grand mythological project, Vicky has a solid line-up. On top of that, he’s also exploring new scripts to keep the momentum going.
