Ajay Devgn will play the role of ‘Ranger Singh’ in an upcoming action-adventure film by Mission Mangal director Jagan Shakti. This will be his second collaboration with filmmaker Luv Ranjan, following their hit De De Pyaar De and its sequel. The film is set to start production in January 2025.
Ajay Devgn’s Action Adventure Inspired By THIS Book
A Peeping Moon report states that the movie is inspired by the 2018 book Ranger by Aseem Arora and Richa Ganesh. The story takes place in the wilderness of Bandhavgarh and follows Ranger Singh, a rookie forest officer. He faces corruption, neglect, and a dangerous tiger crisis. Singh is also up against wildlife poaching, which makes for a gripping story.
Ajay Devgn will bring his intense style to the titular role of Ranger Singh. While the film stays true to the core of the book, it will be made more commercially appealing, drawing inspiration from adventure films like Indiana Jones. The main themes of wildlife conservation and the fight to protect nature will remain, but the film will add more action and excitement.
Filming Set to Begin In January 2025
Aseem Arora, one of the authors of Ranger, has adapted the screenplay. Arora has written for popular films like Malang, Chhalaang, and Freddy, and his experience will help make this adaptation more engaging for a wider audience.
With Devgn’s powerful acting, Ranjan’s direction, and Shakti’s vision, the film is set to be a large-scale production. Pre-production has been going on for several months, and filming is expected to start in early 2025.
Ajay Devgn will begin shooting for Ranger after finishing Son of Sardar 2, which is expected to wrap up this month. Along with Ranger, Devgn also has Raid 2 and De De Pyaar De 2 scheduled for release next year.
