Alia Bhatt is all set to take on another love story-based film. As we all know, she has always been great regarding her strong script choices. She is now moving on from her action-packed projects to explore romance once again.
Currently, Alia is shooting for the YRF film Alpha, but she’s gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War, which is scheduled for a big theatrical release in March 2026. Alia has her sights set on a new romantic project and is expected to work on it after wrapping up Love And War.
Alia Bhatt’s Next Is An Out-N-Out Love Story
Sources close to the actress reveal that she has already identified a script she’s excited about. “Alia has identified a script for her next after Love and War, and she is looking to produce and act in the film. It’s an out-and-out love story, and Alia’s heart at the moment is on the aforementioned script,” said a source to Pinkvilla.
Filming Expected To Begin In Last Quarter Of 2025
The new film is expected to begin shooting in late 2025, following the completion of Love And War. There’s speculation that the director behind this project could be someone who recently delivered a blockbuster hit.
“There have been multiple rounds of meetings, and the conversations are heading in the right direction. The film is still a year away from going on floors, so there’s a chance Alia could change her mind if something better comes along. But right now, the love story is locked in as her next for 2026,” the source added.
As for casting, the team is keen to find a top male lead. Discussions around casting will start in January 2025. “The entire casting begins once the paperwork is done and the stakeholders are committed to take the film on floors by the end of 2025,” the source explained.
Alia has a busy schedule ahead. Her next film, Jigra, is set for release on October 11, 2024, followed by Alpha later in 2025.
