Arshad Warsi is gearing up for an exciting new project as he reunites with Munna Bhai director Rajkumar Hirani for an upcoming OTT series. This much-anticipated cyber-crime thriller, tentatively titled Pritam Pedro, is set to mark Hirani’s debut in the digital entertainment space.
The series will also star Vikrant Massey in a lead role, with Hirani taking on the role of showrunner and producer. His assistant director, Amir Satyaveer Singh, will helm the series as the director.

According to a report in Mid-Day, Pritam Pedro will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar and revolves around two quirky cyber cops, Pritam and Pedro. Vikrant Massey will play Pritam, a young tech-savvy cop who relies on advanced technology to solve crimes, while Arshad Warsi will take on the role of Pedro, a seasoned cop who sticks to traditional methods. The series promises a unique blend of crime drama and humour, a signature style of Hirani’s storytelling.
A source from the creative team shared that while Rajkumar Hirani is renowned for his work in comedy, this series will allow him to delve into the crime drama genre, albeit with his trademark humour. The source also hinted that Hirani might even step into the director’s chair for a couple of episodes, adding an extra layer of excitement for fans.
Filming Expected To Begin In November
The series is expected to start filming in November, with the production team initially considering North India as a potential shooting location. However, they ultimately decided on the picturesque coastal state of Goa. Additional filming will also take place in Mumbai and Pune, ensuring a visually captivating backdrop for the thrilling storyline.
Pritam Pedro is set to bring together two contrasting characters—Pedro’s old-school approach and Pritam’s tech-savvy mindset—creating a dynamic and intriguing partnership that is sure to keep viewers hooked. This reunion between Warsi and Hirani is highly anticipated, especially given their successful collaboration in the Munna Bhai series.
