Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, the much-awaited Bollywood film featuring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, has been delayed. The movie, which was supposed to be released on July 5, will now premiere on August 2.
The delay was officially announced on July 3, following initial media reports. The decision to push back the release came at the request of exhibitors and the distribution fraternity.
A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha will now be released on August 2. The makers were contemplating to release the film in the second week of July but then, they settled for August 2.”

The postponement appears to be a strategic move to avoid clashing with other major releases. Kalki 2898 AD, featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, is generating significant buzz and would have posed stiff competition for Ajay’s film.
An exhibitor commented, “August 2 is a good date. Deadpool & Wolverine releases on July 26. Two big films releasing on that day again would not have been ideal.”
Ajay Devgn-Tabu Starrer To Now Clash With Ulajh & The Sabarmati Report, Two New Teasers Certified
Despite the new release date, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha won’t have the field entirely to itself. It is now set to clash with Janhvi Kapoor’s Ulajh and Vikrant Massey’s The Sabarmati Report, promising an exciting showdown at the box office.
Adding to the anticipation, it has also been reported that the makers of Ajay-Tabu starrer got two teasers certified by the Central Board of Film Certification. The teasers, which feature the revised release date, are 45 and 46 seconds long, respectively. The shorter teaser has been awarded a U/A certificate, while the longer one received a clean ‘U’ certificate.

The film, directed by Neeraj Pandey and featuring music by Oscar-winning composer M M Keeravani, also stars Jimmy Shergill, Saiee Manjrekar, and Shantanu Maheshwari. Tabu and Ajay Devgn’s pairing is loved by the audience and it stands as a unique selling point for the film.
