Since its debut, AMKDT has been on a downhill trajectory. After 11 days, the film is barely hanging on in cinemas. With new releases on the horizon, AMKDT may soon be pushed out of theatres. On Tuesday, 13 August 2024, the film’s Hindi occupancy was a mere 8.23%, underscoring its struggle to attract viewers.
Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha Set Wrap Up Around Rs 12 Cr Mark
The film’s opening day was a letdown, with earnings of just Rs 1.85 crore. This was the lowest opening for a Devgn film in a decade, setting a grim tone for its box office run. The first week saw minimal improvement, with AMKDT managing only Rs 10.05 crore by the end of its debut week.
A slight uptick in numbers on the second Saturday offered a glimmer of hope, but it was short-lived. On Day 2, the film earned Rs 2.15 crore, a 16.22% increase from its opening day. Sunday saw a 27.91% rise, with earnings climbing to Rs 2.75 crore. However, the positive momentum quickly faded.
By Monday, the film’s earnings took a sharp dive, dropping to Rs 1 crore—a 63.64% decrease from the previous day. The decline continued throughout the week, with earnings falling to Rs 0.95 crore on Tuesday, Rs 0.75 crore on Wednesday, and Rs 0.60 crore on Thursday. The first week ended with a total of Rs 10.05 crore.
The second week didn’t offer much relief. A special Rs 99 cinema offer on Day 8 failed to boost attendance, with earnings only reaching Rs 0.30 crore. Saturday saw a slight improvement with Rs 0.54 crore, and Sunday brought in Rs 0.56 crore.
But these numbers were insufficient to reverse the film’s downward trend. By Day 11, earnings had dropped to Rs 0.21 crore. On Day 12 (Tuesday), AMKDT earned Rs 0.19 crore, pushing its total to approximately Rs 11.88 crore over 12 days.
