The title track of Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty, was released on Saturday. This track included elements from the original Singham theme, composed by Ajay-Atul for the 2011 film, but with a new score by Ravi Basrur.
Singham Again Title Track Removed Due To Copyright Claim From T-Series
Well, fans were eager to hear the updated version. However, by early Monday morning, viewers noticed that the video was no longer available. Instead, a message appeared, indicating the video was taken down due to a copyright claim by T-Series.
Many users took to social media to express their confusion. They shared screenshots of the missing video, with some speculating about the circumstances behind the deletion. The message read, “The video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by T-Series.”
Edited Version Was Re-Uploaded Later
On Tuesday, Saregama Music, the distributor, re-uploaded an edited version of the title track. Fans quickly noticed that this new version did not include the iconic Singham theme. The original theme is widely recognised and beloved by fans of the franchise, making its absence quite noticeable.
A source from Saregama Music confirmed to HT that there was a minor issue with the title track. They explained, “Yes, there was a minor issue with the Singham Again title track regarding certain sections that had received copyright claims. But it was sorted out as soon as possible.”
Redditors Feel Singham Again Was Targeted By T-Series
The deletion and subsequent re-upload of the song have created quite a stir on social media. Many users have linked this incident to T-Series‘ role as the producer of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which is also set for a Diwali release.
One Reddit user speculated, “Planned by T-Series?” while another on YouTube commented, “Singham Again movie ke sath bura hua hai ab hamko hi support dikhana hoga (Singham Again has been targeted. We must support it).”
Despite the chatter, industry insiders suggest this is a common practice. Music companies frequently claim rights when their intellectual property is used without permission, regardless of any film rivalry.
