The performances of the principal cast, script, direction, editing all contribute to making a good film in this industry. But a little cameo that adds some eye candy and masala never hurt.
Below are some best cameos of the Bollywood stars, which were very much appreciated by the audience:
Akshay Kumar in OM SHANTI OM:
OM SHANTI OM starring Sharukh Khan and Deepika Padukone may be a flop for its unrealistic storyline. Many renowned Bollywood stars made a cameo in a particular song of this film but what really caught the audience’s attention was the cameo of Akshay Kumar. The audience was in splits, laughing and hooting when Akshay made an appearance in SRK’s Om Shanti Om, dodging bullets with his hands and shooting them back from his pelvis!
Salman Khan in KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI:
In Karan Johar directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Salman Khan played a cameo of Aman. He apparently plans to marry Kajol, the love interest of Shah Rukh but ends up reuniting the two of them together. Despite being a SRK starrer, the adorable portrayal of Salman Khan won the hearts of the audience. Salman also won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award for this film.
Aamir Khan in DIL DHADAKNE DO:
No one had expected such a cameo. Little does everyone know that Aamir Khan has a cameo in Zoya Akhtar directorial Dil Dhadakne Do. Aamir Khan lent his voice to the Mehra family’s pet — a bullmastiff named Pluto Mehra. In the movie, Pluto is the “only sane member of the otherwise dysfunctional Mehra family” and spends the film commenting on the going-on in the family with an objective eye.
Ajay Devgn in SIMMBA:
Rohit Shetty’s Simmba was a blockbuster hit. The movie starred Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan in lead. Ajay Devgn made a cameo in the film as the narrator of Simmba and he appears as Bajirao Singham of the Singham series in the last part of the film. He rescues Ranveer from the villain in the film. It was one of the best or I can say the “seetimaar scene” of the film.
