Anurag Basu’s upcoming musical love story has a surprising new update. As per the latest reports, Sharvari Wagh has stepped in to replace Triptii Dimri as the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan.
This untitled film promises an exciting mix of romance and drama, marking the first on-screen pairing of Kartik and Sharvari.
Here’s Why Makers Chose Sharvari
Initially, the project was set to reunite Kartik and Triptii after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. As per a Peeping Moon report, director Anurag Basu and producer Bhushan Kumar decided to switch things up for a fresh dynamic. Sharvari was chosen to bring a new vibe to the story.
Speculated to be a revamped version of Aashiqui 3, the film has been reimagined into a standalone romantic drama after a rights dispute with Mukesh Bhatt. Pritam, known for delivering blockbuster tracks, is composing the music, promising songs that align perfectly with the emotional intensity of the narrative.
Makers Expected To Begin Filming in Jan 2025
The movie is scheduled to begin filming in January 2025. Before the shoot, Kartik and Sharvari will dive into script readings and workshops to prepare for their roles. Both actors are excited about this collaboration, which aims to deliver a fresh cinematic experience.
For Anurag Basu, this musical drama follows his anthology Metro… In Dino. Featuring stars like Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, and Pankaj Tripathi, the director is fine-tuning a few emotional scenes in Metro before focusing fully on this project.
Kartik, who is basking in the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has a packed schedule. While dates for Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 are still being finalised, this musical love story is his priority. Sharvari is equally busy & is currently working on YRF’s action film Alpha. She will finish the shoot before shifting her attention to this film.
