Allu Arjun captured hearts with his role as Pushparaj in the first Instalment of the Pushpa franchise. He is now set to return to the big screen in 2024 with the highly anticipated sequel, Pushpa 2: The Rule.
Following the enormous success of the first film, fans are eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Originally slated for an August release, the film’s premiere has been pushed to the end of the year. This delay has sparked various rumours, including speculations about a fallout between Arjun and the film’s director, Sukumar.
Pushpa 2 Producer Dismisses Reports Of Rift between Allu Arjun & Sukumar
Producer Bunny Vasu has stepped in to address these concerns. At a recent event, Vasu responded to media queries about the alleged rift. He told Gulte, “We are actually laughing at all those rumours. People are writing things in whichever way they want. They have completely interpreted the happenings in a negative way.”
Vasu confirmed that the delay is due to pending work rather than any dispute. He explained that some portions of the film, including scenes featuring Fahadh Faasil, are yet to be shot. “Only 15 days of work are left, including a song and the climax,” Vasu said. “We need Fahadh Faasil’s dates to complete the film. Sukumar wants to finish editing first to see if there will be anything left to shoot.”
The producer also spoke about the strong bond between Allu Arjun and Sukumar. “If Sukumar needs another six months to finish the film, Allu Arjun will definitely oblige. That’s the kind of bonding they have,” Vasu added.
Reports Stated That Allu Arjun Shaved Off His Signature Beard Out Of Frustration
Recent reports had suggested that the delay of Pushpa 2 might have frustrated Arjun, with claims that he had shaved off his signature beard in a fit of frustration. Fans have expressed their impatience, with some even threatening legal action over the delays. However, Vasu’s comments aim to dispel such rumours and reassure fans that the film is on track.

The film explores Pushparaj’s evolution from a small-time sandalwood smuggler to a major gangster, delving deeper into the illegal red sandalwood trade. Rashmika Mandanna reprises her role as the leading lady, and Fahadh Faasil plays a crucial part in the sequel.
Scheduled for release on December 6, 2024, Pushpa 2 will be available in multiple languages, including Hindi.
