A 32-year-old man has been arrested in Karnataka after sending a fresh death threat to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, demanding either an apology at a Bishnoi community temple or a payment of Rs 5 crore. The threat has shaken fans and authorities, but the police have now made a breakthrough in the case.

The arrested individual, identified as Bhikha Ram (also known as Vikram), hails from Jalore, Rajasthan. He was apprehended in Haveri, Karnataka, and was transferred to Maharashtra police custody on November 6, 2024. According to reports, the arrest follows a tip-off from Maharashtra’s Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS).

Haveri Superintendent of Police, Anshu Kumar, confirmed the arrest, revealing that the suspect had been living in different parts of Karnataka for several weeks before settling in Haveri about a month and a half ago. Ram had rented a room in the Goudar Oni area and was working at construction sites as a daily wage worker.

Arrested Man Calls Himself Lawrence Bishnoi’s Fan

The threatening call was made after Ram watched a regional news channel. Sources claim he called the Mumbai Police control room, where he allegedly threatened to kill Salman Khan unless his demands were met.

Ram, who claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, reportedly told authorities, “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should either apologise at our temple or pay Rs 5 crore. If he does not comply, we will kill him. Our gang is still active.”

The Mumbai Police have begun an investigation to gather further details about the threat and its implications. Police sources have stated that while the suspect’s account is under review, the Mumbai police will lead the investigation into the matter.
