Tara Sutaria To Romance Kartik Aaryan In Aashiqui 3? Producer Mukesh Bhatt And Director Anurag Basu REVEAL The Truth

The much-awaited third instalment of the Aashiqui franchise has been in the news for a long time. Fans have been eagerly waiting for more updates the film, which is set to star Kartik Aaryan in the lead role and be directed by Anurag Basu.

Since Kartik Aaryan was finalised in the lead, there have been many speculations around who the leading actress is going to be. The speculation about Tara Sutaria involvement in the film, Aashiqui 3 started after she and Kartik Aaryan were spotted together outside a restaurant in Mumbai recently. Some fans wondered if they were the new couple in town, while others guessed that they might be collaborating for a film or an ad.

Bollywood producer Mukesh Bhatt and director have slammed the rumours of actress Tara Sutaria playing the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming romantic musical Aashiqui 3. They said that there is no truth in the reports and that Tara is not even in consideration for the role.

Mukesh Bhatt says, the leading actress in Aashiqui 3 will be finalised after music

Mukesh Bhatt told Times Now that the news is “absolute nonsense” and that he has not finalised any actress for the film yet. He said that he will only consider the female lead after his music is ready, as the songs are the stars of the Aashiqui franchise.

“It is absolute nonsense. There’s not even an iota of truth in this. She is not even in consideration. Shall I tell you the truth? No girl will be considered for the role before my music is ready. The songs were the stars of the first and second Aashiqui. This franchise doesn’t need a star. We are glad to have a star this time (Kartik). But the rest is entirely up to the music,” he added.

He also said that he is glad to have Kartik as the male lead, but the rest of the cast is entirely up to the music. He added that he will make the film the way he wants to and with the team he wishes.

“Do you have any idea who is spreading these rumours? I am making it clear once and for all that Aashiqui is my franchise. I will make it the way I want to and with the team I wish. When I am ready to go on the floors with Aashiqui 3 if Anurag Basu still wants to direct the film, fine. Otherwise, we will get someone else,” Bhatt concluded.

Director Anurag Basu denies reports of Tara Sutaria being the Aashiqui girl

Director Anurag Basu, who will be helming Aashiqui 3, also denied the rumours of Tara being a part of the film. He told Hindustan Times that everything out there is a speculation and that no one has been finalised yet. The director said, “No, the female lead of the film has not been finalised yet. Everything out there is a speculation,” he shared. When asked specifically about Tara’s involvement, he said, “No. No one has been finalised.”

Aashiqui 3 is the third instalment of the popular romantic musical series that started with Aashiqui in 1990 and was followed by Aashiqui 2 in 2013. The film is expected to stir a lot of anticipation among fans, as it will mark Kartik’s first venture into the genre.

Meanwhile, Tara has not reacted to the reports yet. She will next be seen in Apurva, which will release on November 14. She will also star in the official music video of Prateek Kuhad, Mulaqat.
