The award recognises his exceptional contribution to cinema. The Bollywood superstar travelled to Switzerland to personally accept the honour on Saturday.

In his signature style, SRK began his speech with a bit of humour, acknowledging the crowd of approximately 8,000 people. “Thank you all for welcoming me with such wide arms – wider than the ones I do on screen,” he quipped, setting a light-hearted tone for his speech.
The actor then shared his thoughts on the power of cinema, describing it as the most influential artistic medium of our time. Reflecting on his career, Shah Rukh expressed his gratitude for being part of the industry for so many years. “I truly believe cinema has been the most profound and influential artistic medium of our age,” he stated, adding that his journey has taught him valuable lessons along the way.
Shah Rukh Khan Says There’s No Creativity Without Love
Delving into the essence of art, Shah Rukh spoke about its ability to transcend boundaries and touch lives. “Art is the act of affirming life above all. It goes beyond every man-made boundary into a space of liberation,” he said.
He emphasised that art and cinema do not need to be political or moralising. Instead, they should simply express their truth from the heart. “That, to me, is the biggest creativity, honestly,” he shared.
Shah Rukh also touched on the importance of love in creativity, describing it as a universal language that everyone can understand. “There is no creativity without love, which is a language which transcends all languages and is comprehended by everyone around the world,” he said. For him, creativity, love, and the act of bringing joy to others are deeply interconnected.
Actor Concludes His Speech Saying ‘Namashkar-Dhanyawad’
The actor also reflected on the diverse roles he has played throughout his career, from hero to villain, superhero to zero. With his trademark humour, he admitted to still struggling with the pronunciation of the award’s name.
“This award here, which, for the life of me, I’ve been trying… I can’t pronounce,” he joked. When the host assisted him, Shah Rukh continued with a playful comment, calling it “The Leopard award for being the most awesome in the world, in the history of humility and kindness and goodness.”
Concluding his speech, Shah Rukh promised his fans that he would continue striving to bring joy to their lives. “Awards like this encourage me to keep on trying to embody all the facets of life, to embody all the emotions, and to try to give that one more take, one more shot, one more emotion, and hopefully a little bit of love, so that all of you feel a little joyful,” he said.
He wrapped up his speech in Hindi, expressing his heartfelt gratitude. “I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart and from India. Namashkaar and dhanyawaad (Hello, thank you). God bless you all,” he said, leaving the audience with a warm message.
