On its 34th day, the movie reached a significant milestone, selling 2 crore tickets through BookMyShow, the largest movie ticketing platform in India.
Pushpa 2 Surpasses KGF 2 & Baahubali 2’s Numbers On BMS Ticket Platform
This achievement sets Pushpa 2 apart as the first film in Indian cinema to hit the 2 crore ticket mark on the platform, outdoing the performances of previous blockbusters like KGF 2 and Baahubali 2.
The 2022 release KGF 2 had sold over 1.7 crore tickets, while the 2017 epic Baahubali 2 sold around 1.6 crore. These numbers, once seen as unbeatable, have now been surpassed by Pushpa 2 in record time.
Allu Arjun Starrer Expected To Add Upto 5 Lakh More In Sales On BMS
Pushpa 2 is expected to add approximately 5 lakh more tickets to its total by the end of its theatrical run. Despite promoting regional ticketing platforms like TicketNew for better margins, Pushpa 2 still sold a staggering 2.05 crore tickets on BookMyShow, surpassing the previous ticket sales benchmarks.
The film’s success has established its place in Indian cinema history, as it has now overtaken Baahubali 2 in India, a feat that was once thought to be unachievable.

Pushpa 2: The Rule picks up the story of Pushpa Raj, a red sandalwood smuggler, as he faces fresh challenges and powerful enemies. The film shows him battling betrayal within his own gang and the constant threat from SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
On a personal level, Pushpa tries to mend his broken relationship with his family and deal with the news of his wife Srivalli’s pregnancy.
The film concludes on a high note, leaving room for a possible continuation in Pushpa 3: The Rampage.
