John Abraham’s thriller The Diplomat is arriving a week later than planned. The film was originally set for March 7, but will now release on March 14 during Holi. The makers announced the delay with a new poster.
The Diplomat Release Postponed To Holi 2025
Sharing the update, T-Series wrote, “The wait gets longer, but his impact only grows stronger. #TheDiplomat now arrives on 14th March.”
Directed by Shivam Nair, The Diplomat is based on real events. It follows Indian diplomat JP Singh on a high-stakes mission to rescue the ‘Daughter of India’ from captivity. Unlike John’s usual action-heavy roles, this time he plays a character who relies on strategy and negotiation.
As the release date approaches, promotions are in full swing. John recently stepped out in Mumbai with co-star Sadia Khateeb and director Shivam Nair.
The trio posed for the paparazzi, and real-life Uzma Ahmed, whose story partly inspired the film, also joined them. Her presence made the union even more special.
More About The Film
The film features an impressive cast, including Sadia Khateeb, Sharib Hashmi, Revathy, and Kumud Mishra. It highlights the power of diplomacy over war, offering a fresh take on the political thriller genre.
Backed by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar (T-Series), John Abraham (JA Entertainment), and other top producers, The Diplomat is set to be an intense watch.
The trailer was released on February 14 at 11 AM and gave audiences a thrilling glimpse into the drama. The makers dropped it on the birth anniversary of Sushma Swaraj, honouring her diplomatic legacy.
The trailer opens with a distressed woman arriving at the Indian embassy in Pakistan, claiming she was forced into marriage. John’s character is initially sceptical but soon realises the urgency of the situation. The story unfolds into a tense diplomatic battle where every decision is crucial.
To add to the patriotic spirit, the makers also released a powerful song from the film, which has already caught fans’ attention.
With its Holi weekend release, the film might just turn into a festival hit.
