Ramayana box office storm: Blindfolded archer in an intense action moment from the mythological epic

Ramayana has found its big Saturday surge. After a strong opening day and a visible Friday hold, the Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-led mythological spectacle added an estimated Rs 50 crore nett in Hindi on Day 3, pushing its three-day Hindi total to Rs 135 crore nett. Across all languages, the film has now reached Rs 186 crore nett all India in just three days, underlining the scale of its pre-Diwali run.

Saturday Gives Ramayana Its Biggest Day Yet

The Nitesh Tiwari directorial collected Rs 47 crore nett in Hindi on Day 1, followed by Rs 38.25 crore nett on Day 2, before roaring back with Rs 50 crore nett on Saturday. More importantly, the film gathered pace through the day, with evening and night shows driving the surge as audience momentum strengthened sharply after Friday. Premium urban centres continued to lead, but the Saturday jump also signalled a broader festive pickup as footfalls improved across key circuits.

That pattern matters because a film that opens high and still accelerates on Saturday usually indicates strong acceptance beyond front-loaded fan interest. For Ramayana, the hold and jump combination has kept the weekend trajectory firmly upward at a time when the holiday corridor is beginning to fully open up.

A Strong Pre-Diwali Run Builds Momentum

What stands out for now is the breadth of the film’s appeal. A substantial share of the business has come from urban markets, while the dubbed-language contribution has been strong enough to push the all-language India total to Rs 186 crore nett in three days.

Sunday now becomes crucial in shaping the opening weekend arc, while Monday will reveal how deeply the film travels beyond the metro strongholds and into the wider holiday market. That sustained theatrical pull also reflects the scale at which the film has been designed and sold, making its creative ambition inseparable from its box office story.

Cast, Crew And Film Details

That larger positioning starts with the package itself. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra, Ramayana: Part One stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. The film opened in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, as the first chapter of a two-part retelling mounted on a massive scale, with releases across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and English.

The film draws from one of the most enduring epics in Indian storytelling, with the first part focusing on the emotional and dramatic build-up to the central clash between Rama and Ravana. That multilingual rollout has widened its theatrical base from the outset, and Sunday now carries added importance because another major jump would give the film an even stronger launch pad for the holiday weekdays ahead.
